Midlife Mantra: When You Wake Up Looking Up…

Sometimes just the act of waking up in the morning is reason enough to celebrate.

When you make a vow to live a life full of optimism, you look forward to every dayEvery. Day. So in the morning when you slowly come out of the trance-like REM sleep, roll around on your 400 thread count sheets, rub your eyes like a child, and stretch and possibly yawn, you’re entering a new day.

And guess what: It’s an opportunity to do new things, to reinvent yourself, to live! So uh, yeah, you’re grateful. You’re looking UP, not six feet under.

Just like Antionette Blake, the #delblogger, use this mantra as the starting point for your day . . . and make it a great day!

I’m grateful, every day, that I’m still here! So many reasons why I shouldn’t be that I’ve begun writing a book about all of them. Thanks for this post, Brenda

Thank you, Brenda, for joining the conversation. I need to be more mindful of the fact that simply being alive is cause for celebration!
