TLC Writing Retreats for Women—The Perfect Antidote

Longstanding wisdom and experience has taught us that certain people come into our lives for a reason.  The reasons themselves vary as much as the people with whom we come into contact. How we interact and respond to each individual can set the tone for a positive, negative or neutral experience.

As I grow older and become more deeply rooted in the woman that I have transformed into, I welcome the salient moments in life when my universe is eclipsed by the shining star of another.

Two weeks in a lifetime of weeks is but a blip on the radar, yet those same two weeks can be transformative, rejuvenating and enlightening. There were 14 days that inspired this type of growth and reflection for me. Actually, it wasn’t so much the days as it was the women who filled that space in time. The setting was the tranquil village of Loreto Bay, situated between the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range and the Sea of Cortez in Baja California Sur, Mexico. The occasion was the TLC Writing Retreats for Women, and at the helm was Tammy L. Coia.

Tammy, along with her TLC co-founder, Linda George Brown, led a group of eight women deep into ourselves as we explored our innermost feelings—the good and bad, painful and poignant, uplifting and challenging.

Why TLC Writing Retreats for Women

As the workshop lead, Tammy’s compassionate and nurturing spirit take center stage as she gently leads her students into oft unchartered waters—the swirl of emotions that we keep bottled up inside. Therapy? Not technically, but there are those who walk away from the retreat with a sense of release and renewal. I count myself among those who have.

If you have ever had whispering thoughts…leanings…inclinations…even the slightest inkling on attending a women’s writing retreat, TLC Writing Retreats for Women is the one to choose. Tammy and Linda have crafted a curriculum that fosters growth as a writer (and, as an added side effect, fosters personal growth, as well) in an environment conducive to learning.

From the beauty of the northwest in Bellingham, Washington to the beautiful village of Loreto Bay and points in between (including their latest destination, Show Low, Arizona, in the White Mountains of Northeastern Arizona), TLC Writing Retreats offer an extraordinary experience in exceptional places.

So there’s no misunderstanding, I’ll make this official: I wholeheartedly recommend Tammy L. Coia, Linda George Brown and the TLC Writing Retreats for Women. It is an experience unlike any other.

If you can get any of the dates to work, do. Tammy is a wonderful teacher. It’s absolutely amazing the sisterhood that comes out of her retreats!

You’re welcome, Glenda. From one midlifer to another, it’s so wonderful to share the things we believe are so worthwhile. I guess I’ll see/meet you at B@M 16! See you then.

Make the decision to make that ‘some day’ soon, Melissa! TLC retreats are wonderful.

I agree, Karen. I used to not be a fan of writing retreats. Well, once you find a worthwhile one, it all makes sense.
